Kindergarten Policies

Please note that the state government department responsible for all kindergartens in Victoria is the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD). Owing to transitional arrangements that are ongoing between DEECD and the kinder’s former auspice department, the Department of Human Services (DHS), some documents and references cited on this website may be subject to further change.

When department transitions are finalised, the website will be updated to include all relevant references to DEECD publications.

Parents will be given two weeks’ notice before any policy changes are implemented.
